I have worked with Carrie for the past 5 years as the Co-Chair of the Gardiner Area Thrives Coalition as the Parent representative.  The Coalition’s mission is to create a community where youth thrive by preventing substance misuse; by providing community and school supports, positive adult-youth connections, increasing opportunities for youth engagement and leadership and other evidence based efforts to reduce youth substance use and increase individual and community assets over time.  We could not have had a better champion for our youth and community as Carrie. She attended every meeting, served on sub-committees and promoted the coalition to the community through all of her connections and using her extensive marketing skills.  We miss her on the Coalition but she keeps connecting us to the greater community through her connections at BNI, Kiwanis and other community efforts.
